This page is dedicated to KOKEE DELIGHTS - Wholesome Vegetarian Food 高记 - 天然健康素食 Serve organic brown rice, organic vegetable, no garlic & onion and no MSG Award: Singapore Food Map for Fine Culinary Skill Owner : Joseph and Ivy Venue: Bukit Timah Market & Food Centre #02-188 Operating hours: 11am - 8pm Close on Tuesday
Remarks: Ivy is an experience cook and have been a vegetarian for many years. I get to know Ivy in one of my 8-series workshop at Phor Kark See Monastery in 2006. She have been my volunteer in my cooking workshops conducted in Phor Kark See and Kampung Senang Charity & Education Foundation ever since then. The old couple have the wisdom that we all should respect and learn from them. Their types of food are unique and can hardly found in other places. Having been there for a couple of times I have tasted the dishes below. Simply fantastic! Must try!

Vegetarian Version
a.s.k.a. Thunder Tea for Singaporean
Available on Saturday and 1st & 15th day of
lunar month, 11am-2pm only
高记素食擂茶
KoKee Delights proundly present their specialty -
the Chinese Hakka's Pour Tea in Vegetarian
version.
The ingredients used are rich and colourful from
what you can see in the photo to the right. The
greenish colour soup that should be pour over on
the rice and mixed-vegetable, stir well and eat
rather than eating separately. But there isn't any
rule when come to eating so long it tastes good
to you.
The pour tea we are familiar with are the He Po
Hakka Style, the traditional type should be in it
simple vegetarian style and not the one we used
to see in hawker centres that added dried shrimp
to the soup and some dried ikan (fishes) for
topping.
The word "thunder tea" is a very misleading
translation for this wonderful healthy meal.
Good food should come in its simple form. Many a
time, people creating new taste and flavour but
only later to find that only the original recipe taste
best and last generation after generation ...
In conclusion, use our Ah Gong & Ah Ma Recipes
and improve on it such as making more healthy,
using fresh organic veggies. Avoid using chemical
flavouring like MSG, chemical colouring etc..
After all it is not difficult to make delicous food, if
you just treat your customers like your
parents/children, just give them the best.
better than Kokee Delights. If you know any Lei Cha Fan
that taste better than Kokee, simply drop me a mail.
Simply Very Good, Must Try!
